About Gil

I am a graduate of the University of Detroit with a Bachelors degree in Accounting.  After spending 20 years as an accountant for 2 major players in the automobile industry,   I found myself in a position where I had to make some decisions about my professional future.  Though very successful, the accounting profession was not giving me the fulfillment that I needed.  My uncle, who is now retired, was a very well known and successful realtor in the Maryland area.  “Get your real estate license”, he kept telling “with your accounting background and outgoing personality you’ll do great”.

After 20 years in accounting I found myself faced with a corporate downsizing.  I’d received my real estate license and suddenly found myself thrust into real estate as a full time realtor.  I have but one regret and that is that “I DIDN’T DO IT SOONER”!

My uncle was right. It has been one of the best decisions I have ever been forced to make.  Someone said “If you find something you love and get paid for it, do it for the rest of your life.  That one thing for me has been selling real estate.

It has now been almost 9 years since I made the change and I have been an award winning realtor for each year of my career. How have I done it?  Primarily through repeat business and referrals from past clients.  I do a lot of business with first time buyers as well as those who might be purchasing there 2nd, 3rd or 4th home.

My philosophy:
"Treat each client like they are purchasing a million dollar home"

Buying and/or selling a home is probably the largest transaction most people will ever make. It requires a lot of care and professionalism.  It is a very emotional and time consuming task.  My job is to make the transaction flow as smoothly as possible by meticulously handling every detail from beginning to end.
